Yes, to infiltrate the gov't in order to realize a goal that embodies hostile intent........the invasion of Iraq. The hostile intent does not have to be the overthrow of the American gov't.

Invading Iraq was not hostile intent against the US, or really even against Iraq. And the actions to support it were just participation in the political process. You would normally only say someone was infiltrating the US government if they where agents of a hostile power trying to damage or destroy the US from within.

Why are you trying to turn them into something innocent when in fact they are anything but?

They are no more or less innocent than everyone else pushing their position in the US. You happen to think their position is morally wrong and practically bad but that doesn't make them some secret conspiracy to harm the US. If that was the standard that would apply I would have to call the Democratic Party a group of infiltrators.
