I was surprised, perhaps even astonished, considering the abuse I have heaped upon him. His reply was simple and cordial. Perhaps others received it also.

I don't feel privileged to publish private correspondence here, in the same manner as Louis Riley has kept his personal electronic correspondence with Pluvia off this board.

If invited again, JW might post it to this board. Maybe not, however. IMO, the SMOKING GUN is a cap pistol. I think the "ammunition" might be a little wet also. Actually the Smoking Gun is one that's been tossed around a few times a day here. Some smell smoke, some don't. In any case, the scent must be very faint.

As to The Westergaard Reward, JW won't say which of his friends he gave it to.

Must stop here, I've revealed far too much of the "substance" of the mail already. It is best now for JW, the stand-up guy that he is, to step up and publicly resolve the issue with all of us, including the lurkers.
