Well Richard, Alot depends on your financial situation. I'm typically 60% margined but I control my fluctuation within 3% to 4%. In other words, I take defensive actions to not drop by more than that amount. Higher risk? Yes sir! I'm 45 and I'm working on building the critical mass of capital investment dollars. I can afford to take the most risk NOW! I will back off as I reach certain dollar levels in my portfolio. I'm planning to go to 50% margin by October since I will be called out of several of my positions with a pretty good profit. CCing provides a very conservative approach to building a nest egg. It's important to not go over your head. You know, the Peter Principle. I have gradually eased my way up the margin hang rope and survived so far!
