Hi Jeff,

The name/alias "Bob O'Brien" may (or may not) be a rip-off of the reporter/commentator of the same name who appears regularly (nearly daily) on CNBC (in the Bob and Ray segment, I think). The CNBC Bob, who also works for Dow Jones is a sometimes witty, sometimes sarcastic commentator that almost always has some sort of humorous perspective on the market.

On the other hand, there are probably thousands, if not tens of thousands, of Bob O'Briens in the world, and it's very possible that the Mr. O'Brien of ncans.net is using his own real name.

Like you say, it probably wouldn't take too much effort to find out for sure, one way or the other...
