Yes, I pointed that out in my first post....

Still, the Census estimates are subject to considerable less statistical manipulation then the BLS surveys.

Yes. That was all that I pointed out originally --- and which JDN seemed to have difficulty believing: the current US population is nearing 300 million... an addition of about 3 million per annum... and the demographics of that require annual job growth of approximately 2 million to hold the employed percentage of our population the same.
