I am beginning to wonder if you are deliberately avoiding the use of logic or if you really don't get it.

I am just fine with laws that support the freedom of consenting adults to live their lives together as they see fit as long as that is not impinging on the lives of others or society at large.

I've said so several times now.

Your XXXs are evidence that you are unable to get that...

What else can I say.

The only issue involves the use of the term "marriage" which as a much broader application than consenting adults legally XXXing, or living together according to unlimited freedom as you have couched it, which by the way doesn't require any legal sanction.

"In this case, having Joe and Jim get married does not hurt in any way nor infringe on rights and freedoms of the rest of the society. The only reason why the society wants to prohibit it is because the majority finds it distasteful."

You have not considered the meanings of "married" so I guess you can just declare whatever you want about the word. That, however, simply demonstrates your desire to limit yourself.

The analogy would be that I think children should be allowed to play with cap pistols. Since this is the same conduct people use when committing murder, then murder should be decriminalized, or we are not granting murderers the same privileges as we give children to conduct themselves in this manner .... OHHHH did I over look a couple of essential aspects of "Murder" and the broader implications ... yep ... get it ... prolly not.
