Plain and simple question: "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?" The answer can not be as simple as Yes or No by someone who has never been violent. Likewise, I have made several attempts to clarify for you that there is a broader context of marriage that is not dealt with by your simple question. I have expressed my support for gays to have all privileges and legal status's in which you have expressed concerns. I see no reason why there should be any problem in resolving that. In spite of my willingness, and most other conservatives, to see that through, you repeatedly return to your insistence that it is a simple matter of attaching the legal definition of 'marriage' as part of the resolution. This simple fact reveals that you have more of a hidden agenda than a simple question. I doubt that you are ready to discuss that. So, I guess we are done.
