Hamas has a political side and have areas of strong local support -- I understand that. But they do not represent the Palestinians -- that is a fact.

Sometimes I swear you think that if you repeat something often enough, you can make it true single-handedly.

Hamas does represent Gaza, they just won the elections. As for the rest of the Palestinian people, we have only polls to go on since neither Arafat nor Hamas believed in democracy. The polls say that until very recently, support for the suicide bombers - a joint program of Fatah and Hamas, let me remind you, so Hamas alone is not the problem - was running over 75% according the Khalil Shikaki, the best of the Palestinian pollsters. Now it's dropped, as it becomes clear to the Palestinians that they lost this round and it's time to give it a rest.
