Coug, I think probably the majority of people at SI tend to be more conservative and big business oriented. I wouldn't expect them to care a lot about blue collar jobs being outsourced, because the result of that outsourcing is more profits for big business, since they produce their goods more cheaply abroad. What I don't understand is who they think they will sell all those goods to when most Americans have fallen out of the middle class and are unable to afford anything except shopping at Goodwill. Of coure, short-term profits are what these people are about--that is why they buy the big oil company brainwashing about global warming not being real. I have no idea how these people sleep at night, though.

My parents also were very liberal and idealistic, and taught me to be concerned about the world's poor and about unfairness generally--to fight for the underdog. I am so glad I didn't have Ann Coulter's parents--her dad was a union-busting attorney.
