CJ, I forgot that people are going to overreact to the analogy between the leftist revolutionaries and popular figures of the political left in America like Soros, Kennedy, and Kerry.

So I'll take back what I said and rephrase it. The "utopia architects" are those who take leftist philosophies and apply authoritarian controls to force those philosophies upon everyone. There is certainly no empathy necessary to be a "utopian architect," but they can be classified as "liberals" in the sense that their goals, if not their means, are similar to those that liberals in America want to achieve.

Lumping Castro in with those other two is a stretch also.

Castro might be a cross between China's Mao Tse Tung and South Korea's Park Jung Hee. Park is credited with the rapid industialization and modernization of South Korea in the 70s and 80s. Too bad he was also a dictator and got shot in a coup d'etat for all of his efforts.

Either way, Castro is hardly an example of an empathic leader.
