I usually trade AAPL here lately. I thought it was getting a little rich, so I was looking for an up-and-comer to buy. My diversification is in mutual funds. My stock trading is one company at a time. That's all I can research and keep up with as a working stiff. I thought Synaptics was a good call. I still think it is.

I saw the news and evaluated it while watching the stock fall. Looked to me like the analysts were rushing to judgement with no facts and a lot of speculation. It looked like a buying opportunity to me. I just didn't think it would be this good a buying opportunity! Apple collaborates with any number of different companies at any given time. Just because they are using a different track pad is no reason to assume they are moving their interface resources from Synaptics to someone else. That would be like my grocer thinking they were going to loose my business because I bought some smoked meats from the corner butcher.
