Kevin,

Will the NASDAQ the corporation ever be able to go public?

I just noticed this thread you started on 6/17/2002. The NASDAQ Market Inc. went public on or abouts 7/1/2002. That's just two weeks after this thread was started. In 2000 or earlier shares were offered ("pre-IPO") to the MM firms and to NASDAQ listed companies. Apparently a clause in a private placement required the shares to be trading after 2 years, so on the first trading day in July 2002, NDAQ shares were traded on the OTCBB. Its shares traded there until today.

Today the shares of NDAQ are listed on the NASDAQ National Market System (NMS).

Isn't it time they got a new slogan?

My fav is: "Don't just play the market, own it!"

What should the NYSE slogan be?

We (specialists) make money the old fashion way, we have an insider advantage.

I wonder who the other three people who bookmarked this thread are?
