RE: bird influenza Actually I have been trying to get some serious information from serious researchers, but they seem to have been intimidated by the alarmists. I think a lot of really intelligent epidemiologists and virologists are terrified at the thought of either understating or overstating what is happening, leaving the field open to quacks and charlatans, and to the nincompoops who listen to them. Oh: and also to satirists.
