I agree with what you say. It is, I believe, one of the unintended consequences of eliminating smoking in the workplace. Were we permitted smoke while doing our jobs, our minds would stay sharp and focused on the task at hand. Taking a cigarette break tends to clear the mind and sharpen perspective. Worked for me, and I know my job performance is much better now that I again have an ashtray on my desk.

She seems to have a lot to say about the evils of smoking. On the outside chance you haven't figured it out yet, she is a former smoker of tobacco.

I dare say that when flipping burgers, one would get plenty of smoke, just not the right kind. <g> - Holly
