Before any attack on Iran, I think the Judeofascist clique must wait for a few more pieces to fall into place: first, the "removal" of GW Bush from office and his due replacement by Israel's champion Cheney; second, the enthronement of Cardinal Jean-Marie Lustiger as the successor to Pope John-Paul II --clue:

As I once put it, I expect "Pope Lustiger" to be to Islam what John Paul II was to Communism... The above radioislam article hints that Lustiger's advanced age might be detrimental, however, most Vatican pundits have pointed out that after a very long reign (John Paul's lasted 25 years) it's customary for the conclave to elect an elder Pope so as to "shorten" his tenure... Another factor that should tip the balance in Lustiger's favor is his European origin. Indeed, contrary to what all the third-world bleeding-hearts keep prattling about a black/African Pope or a South American one or even an Asian one, there's --from a marketing perspective-- absolutely NO reason at all to pick a third-world Cardinal as the next Pope! Christianity, and Catholicism in particular, is doing just fine in Brazil's slums and Africa's shantytowns: its inner momentum is strong enough and doesn't need any "encouragement" from the top/Rome... Contrariwise, European Catholicism --and religion in general-- has slackened, to put it mildly. Hence the necessity for the Vatican to kickstart European Christendom with a European Pope. QED.
