I've always thought the expression "God bless America" was strange. Why request a blessing that only extends to our borders? Why not let Mexico and Canada enjoy a little blessing too? Maybe be a little generous and go with "May God bless America and also those portions of Mexico and Canada that lie within 100 miles of our national borders."
