It's actually manipulated in additional ways, little supply is being issued, it's jammed into the short end. That becomes more difficult as the yield curve flattens however. Now they have big time rollover risk, especially of the foreign custodials start passing as they have of late.

Read it two years ago, and yes it's an importany book. I reviewed on Amazon.com in fact. I don't beleve Duncan and Roubini are that far apart on the end of the credit cycle, a USD currency crisis, and the end of extreme heavy handed central bank purchases of US debt and vendor financing.
