Howie, i just ordered masonry sand, it'll be a hair shy of twenty loonies the tonne, and that is before trucking and taxes ... this is for gravel truck quantities, one tonne or an half would be considerably more .... a tonne is not so much, i've loaded near that in my pickup in twenty minutes or so, not even working hard, it's easy with the right little d-handle spade
But twenty bucks was a bit shocking, as it's been years since i paid for it directly ... that business plan figured on one gramme gold per tonne, which was just a wild guess based on experience of the little dredges, and if 1g/t turns out to be the case then that's healthy and fully economic - but it's only seventeen loonies the tonne, gross value
Navvy jack was just under seventeen, loaded in the pit, got some of that coming later, too .... this is on the coast of BC, where placer deposits of quality construction aggregate abound, for sure the pricing will be higher in Florida, or in any flat land areas, or smaller islands . |
