"It potentially makes it more attractive to individual investors," Maybe I'm ill informed. Why does this make it more attractive? It still costs the same to buy $100 dollars worth of Apple right? Is is purely psychological? Is it a throwback to the early days of the stock market when people held paper certificates? Do any investors know that there even were paper certificates?
