POD THEORIES Don, Re: The same goes for the pod theories. I don't know what the anomaly is, but there certainly is something there. I think that the Popular Mechanics writers got the "pod" story right. popularmechanics.com What they point out is that the "pod people" seem to being seeing something that isn't really in the pictures. Boeing 767s do have a bulge at the location where the wings intersect the fuselage of the plane. This is the landing gear fairing. There's nothing sinister or pod-like about this feature. But the story has been spread by the likes of the website letsroll911.com and it appears to be a disinformation campaign, being used to discredit the 9/11 Truth Movement. This is a traditional COINTELPRO-style tactic. Essentially what we have here is a facile debunking of a straw man argument, with Popular Mechanics debunking a silly theory that is getting way too much coverage.
