Hi Mary,

Thanks for your provocative and refreshing post.

Re: The world should unite and not let "little boys" play games that have consequences for a lot of people.

"The world" would be well advised to try to take back the media which is being used as a bully-pulpit by some very scurrilous corporadoes to brainwash the gullible.

I watch something like "Chris Hume's Road Trip"
truthout.org
and I realize that the sort of mass hysteria described by the recently deceased playwright, Arthur Miller, in "The Crucible" is alive and unwell in America today.

Hume has done us a great service. He's making it quite apparent that the average American is superstitious, xenophobic, ill-informed and pretty darn illogical.

Jay and Maurice seem to be benign and sage observers compared to some of the maniacs who infest the Republican Party here in the U.S. and who are deliberately stirring the pot of Know-Nothingness.

As to your list of "little boy" leaders, I couldn't agree more about the necessity for real human beings to stand up to these petty tyrants and prevaricators. The world is far too precious and fragile to be in the hands of such unscrupulous manipulators.

The pity of it is that at least in America, the weak-minded think they're smart, and the smart are resigned to the fact that they're outnumbered.
