CJ, Or even secondarily. Tertiary, even. It was always "we need to topple Saddam because of the WMD".

I remember not buying the WMD argument before we invaded, simply because chasing after every a-hole in the world with WMD wouldn't have been pragmatic.

Instead, I supported it because we had the opportunity to make another example of what happens when America gets attacked. Saddam just happened to be on the top of the list of targets. It made sense from a humanitarian standpoint, and it also made sense given that Islamic fascism needed to die.
