Tenchusatsu,
I'm brilliant. I got it. I have the solution. I don't know why others haven't thought of this already.

In Arkansas, federal and state taxes are 37.5c a gallon on gasoline. That allegedly covers road repairs, environmental concerns, etc... So I'll average it up to 37.5c tax on every two dollars...

Now Social Security is going broke, medicare and medicaid is going broke, obese children and other fat people not taking care of themselves are breaking the system. Our children are literally killing themselves with their eating habits. What I propose is to have a 37.5c federal and state tax on every two dollars of FOOD. The federal revenues will fix Social Security and fund medicare and the state revenues will fund medicaid and other medical burdens caused by these people that cannot stop eating improperly.

Some will say it's an unfair tax on the poor because the rich can afford to keep paying it and keep eating and getting fat. Well, the rich tend to eat more expensive foods, so the extra revenues will more than compensate for the rich's indulgences resulting in a progressive tax which liberals are champions of.

Damn, that was easy........

Steve
