My interest and comments about Apple have never changed it has always been about whether Apple could regain some respectable level of market share. So far that hasn't been the case. I made these same comments over and over as a shareholder and got the same responses during the Ipod, Switcher and the G5 campaigns. I stated my reason for investing in Apple a few years ago was I was a big music compression believer and the Apple designed the best player to date. But there was nothing R & D related to what they did. They just took someone else’s great idea and improved and marketed better. I sold Apple when I felt it was fully valued.

As always, my main interest in Apple relates to its overall position in the personal computer market place. Without huge new sales to the corporate and educational markets it can’t really do much to increase it overall market share. So far Apple has not shown this is taking place. So as I have said at least 50 times over the last 2-3 years here. I feel Apple’s Ipod/Itune success is masking their many failed attempts to increase their overall computer market share which by the way is their primarily business. Now of course that may change and it will be interesting how the street reacts to this news if and when it comes. But until it does, I will watch and see how Apple is able to spin market share news.

I wonder how long it will take Apple to determine if all of their efforts to attract NEW users to the Mac has really worked. So far Jobs isn’t say and we all know he will be the
first to claim this success.
