James, I don't really know what you mean by "community". No one needs help to worship God, and Jesus, if he has any sense at all. If you mean that communities are groups of people that tend to agree with one another, I see nothing wrong with that, but when one group gets together for form active differences with other groups as if they considered themselves, or their beliefs, to be better than any other, I consider those people to be pompous asses, and not in keeping with the universal love preached by Jesus.
There is no doctrine but the words spoken by Jesus Christ. If any human being thinks he can form a doctrine to suit his own beliefs, and opinions, he is NOT following the teachings of Jesus. Nothing in the bible is important but the words of Jesus Christ. After all, He was God incarnate that came to earth to give mankind the formula for entering heaven. What else can top that??
All these theories about the end of the world, as we know it, are mere folly, including preterism. Jesus made it clear that we would not know the time of His second coming, and humans are fools that try to guess at such a date, when God/Jesus does not want mankind to know. The whole point of not being told the time of such an event, is to tell the people to live their lives as if that day is tomorrow.
The only thing wrong with Shalom, is that he has become closer to God, and understands the words of Jesus in a new light. God has blessed him that way. |
