This weeks news:

Twin Mining’s NR this week received a snore, but it is worth a look, as they have identified the discovery of 78 separate drill targets, many occurring in clusters, as final results of a high sensitivity Fugro MIDAS II™ aeromagnetic survey over 200,000 acres that is only 20 % of its 100 % owned 1.3 million acre Brodeur property. Target sizes range from 90 to 250 m in diameter. 74 of the targets are located on the Jackson Inlet East and West claim blocks (270,000 acres) and 4 are on the Vista claim blocks just outside the Jackson Inlet East block (see illustration twinmining.com ). All targets are in addition to previously announced discoveries around and including the diamondiferous Freightrain and Cargo1 pipes.
twinmining.com Unfortunately not much will be done on these targets this year. They claim “The latest discoveries have increased significantly the probability of a diamond mine find in the area.”

Revisiting old news:
Whatever happened to the results form the drilling done last year?
Metalex Ventures Ltd VANCOUVER, April 28-2004 /CNW/ - Metalex Ventures Ltd
Attawapiskat joint venture is pleased to report that another four
vertical auger holes drilled along a 150 meter line have all bottomed in
kimberlite. This new discovery is situated about 30 meters up-ice from the
location of an auger hole in which a gem quality macrodiamond together with
diamond inclusion composition eclogitic garnets, G10 garnets, chrome diopsides
and olivines were recovered from an 18 kg till sample. In each of the four
auger holes, kimberlite overlain by till was encountered between depths of 11
and 18 meters.
C.F. Mineral Research Ltd. also recovered high counts of G10 garnets,
Group 1 eclogitic garnets, chrome diopsides and olivines with diamond
inclusion compositions from "green kimberlitic clay" intersections from six
auger holes over a 210 meter line, reported in the news release of 1 April
2004. Concentrates of these kimberlite samples are presently being fusion
tested for diamond contents.
In addition, Metalex has recently staked 34 claim blocks encompassing 34
circular magnetic anomalies recommended by our consultant geophysicist for
drilling. These drill targets are in the vicinity of the Kyle Lake diamond
bearing kimberlite pipes situated about 85 kilometres west of the Victor
diamond project.
As Metalex is most encouraged by the quality of diamond indicator
minerals recovered from kimberlite and down ice from the newest discovery,
Metalex has positioned the core rig over kimberlite in order to drill at least six core holes.
