While the explanation is obvious, moving from a Monetarist economy to a Capitalist economy involves disruption and adjustment to a new world.

I thought we had moved to a socialized ownership society? Fuel excess liquidity and credit. Make US consumer the buyer of last resort so others can fund our deficits and keep interest rates abnormally low. To add insult to injury hide the true CPI and penalize the savers, small business and workers while rewarding excess speculation in the only game in town still left..
