I don't think anybody is accusing you of condoning Eason. I certainly am not. The point is that his allegations were not serious, and not worthy of being taken seriously. There is simply no way to accept the veracity of the statements, and, thus, no point in discussing the possibly veracity of the statements.

For example -- if someone accused -- oh, let's pick a public figure, Bill Clinton -- of beating his wife, and then retracted it, I hope you wouldn't comment that it is not impossible that Bill Clinton beats his wife, and therefore possible that he does beat his wife.

No evidence is just that. No evidence.
