Mindmeld, It will take 11.5 years to even the cost out between the Honda with a hybrid vs the one without.

And yet hybrid cars are selling out like crazy. Here in Southern Cal, I've seen a report where dealers are trying to rip off prospective buyers of Toyota Priuses (Prii?) simply because they're in short supply.

Even though the pure economics of hybrids haven't crossed THE critical threshold yet, there is more than enough excitement surrounding them to drive the technology forward. And that's great news, IMO.
