Astana. February 11. KAZINFORM /Dulat Moldabayev/ - Principal activity of the Industry Ministry for forthcoming perspective is creation of new industries in all regions of the country, said at the enlarged session of the Industry Ministry’s collegium Ivan Kravchenko, 1st vice-minister of Industry and Trade. ”For this, says the vice-minister, it is necessary to assist in realization of investment projects aimed at creation of new technologies to produce export-oriented goods. Creation of cotton cluster in the south, construction of factories to produce chloride, caustic soda and primary aluminum in Pavlodar, sodium carbonate in Karatau of the Zhambyl oblast, pipe in Aktau, rolling sections works in Mittel Steel Temirtau and sulfuric plant in the Balkhash mining metallurgical industrial complex.
It is essential to master new kinds of equipment for oil&gas extraction, transport machines, to develop manufacturing of cable products accumulators, industrial and household appliances to register consumption of energy, water and gas. Besides, one should pay attention to the issue of increasing participation of local enterprises in projects of land use and pursuing policy of enhancing competitiveness of these enterprises attracting them into the process of supplying goods, services to companies (land users). In the nearest future the government of Kazakhstan is starting the program presupposing active state regulation and creation of mechanisms to support innovations in the economic sphere. That will be a good condition for increasing competitiveness of the country on the basis of efficient use of intellectual potential, dissemination and use of new knowledge.
”By June, 2005 there will function four (4) technical parks: one park of information technologies in Almaty, regional ones in Karaganda, Uralsk and Almaty”, said I. Kravchenko. They are to provide a complex of services for entrepreneurs and scientists necessary for commercialization of scientific activity, i.e. laboratory equipment, business services, search for funding sources, educational programs and conditions for a business-incubator.
Regional parks have already received more than 100 projects. Memos are signed on the park of information technologies and negotiations are on with the biggest world companies – Hewlett Packard, Cisco Systems, Siemens, Thales, Microsoft, IBM, SUP AG, Gilat Satellite Networks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Midas |
