Goldie... it would seem from your 'Political Compass' results that --- according to their methodology anyway --- they would classify you as well within the 'moderate' (or 'middle-of-the-road') portion of the population as far as traditional 'left-right' issues of economics... just a smidge to the 'left' of my views in this regard... probably just the result of a single answer, the very slight difference between us not statistically significant.

Where there *does* seem to be a statistically significant difference between us was on the 'Libertarian/Authoritarian' scale... you, it would seem, tend to place greater faith in the ability or legitimacy of *leaders* to solve problems... while I do not, and default much more often to a belief that 'power corrupts', and that individuals should have a much greater control over their own lives, free from governments' efforts to control.

(It is only fair to note that, on the 'Libertarian/Authoritarian' scale, your views are much closer to the center then mine are... so here your views are seconded by a *much* greater portion of our population then mine are... and I am the one 'out on the wing' in my beliefs about the dangers of Authoritarian solutions, not you.)

My results were:
Economic Left/Right: -0.50
Authoritarian/Libertarian: -5.28
