Canada does not have clean hands. In the interest of economics and profit, Canada first sold India a Candu Reactor, which is a heavy water reactor developed and employed in Canada. Of course, appropriate assurances and guarantees from the Indian government were obtained that they would never use this technology as a spring board to develop nuclear weapons.

That success was later repeated with Pakistan, with the same guarantee of non-nuclear weapon guarantee.

Not content with all of the above success, Canada looked for willing customers anywhere.

Efforts continue to sell these reactors to any and all prospective customeers.

You see where I am coming from? The Iranian one is a heavy water 1000 MW reactor. To go from peaceful electrical generation to the nuclear weapons option is just a matter of time if history is any guide. To believe otherwise is akin to burying your head in the sand.
