Brian,

Yesterday's movement was a little disappointing in that it hit 28 1/4 early, then failed to rise further as the DOW continued to rise. Think this is reflected in the weakness today. VVUS is still SHORT_TERM (< week) overbought and should be weak for the next few days, but over the next 2-4 weeks expect to go higher. The next time VVUS is oversold short term should be a good buying opportunity. Remember, a basicly strong stock can work off being short term overbought by just going sideways--it doesn't necessarily have to go down. Former resistance at 27 1/2 is now support since VVUS has penetrated that resistance.

Elliot waves---or any TA--should reflect upcoming stock splits in so far as that affects price/volume. Unknown, unleaked, unanticipated news that has hasd no prior effect on price/volume can not be magically devined by any TA. Hence the gaps that occur with out-of-the-blue announcments--virtually everyone is caught flat-footed.

Will email you regarding off-topic questions.

Regards,
Gary

PS. Checked the tape after writing this and see VVUS has withstood early profit taking and bounced back. Looks strong today.
