I had an even closer encounter with Clint Eastwood in 1973. I lived and skied in Aspen. One wasn't surprised to see famous people now and again.......many had second homes in Aspen. I was young and pretty. One day when I stopped into the midway lodge at Aspen Highlands for lunch after a day of heavy skiing Clint Eastwood was ahead of me in line. I didn't notice him until I started looking around. As I panned the lodge, there he was staring right at me. I looked him in the eyes and he winked at me. I was so shy that I immediately looked away. But I couldn't help looking back.........my God, Clint Eastwood just winked at me........and he was gone.

Thank goodness Warner allows him artistic license. I can't wait to see "Flags of our Fathers." The idea of he and Spielberg making a movie together is incredible.
