TH, RE: "Inflation? I got some stinking inflation."

Was at the grocery store today, and noticed 15% to 25% inflation on three items.

There appears to be a local inflation in food prices. Some of the fish and meat had increased by as much as 10% too. Though no significant change in milk prices that I noticed.

The grocery clerk complained about how inflation of gasoline is eating away at her raise - she said she can't keep up with inflation.

It's becoming cheaper to eat at a restaurant than buying food at a grocery story.

Watch Greenspan this week. My bet is Jan's cpi wasn't good. Once he starts raising interest rates again, we'll get a double whammy - PEs will contract further.

Regards,
Amy J
