I have those bad eyes that I am tired of writing about but I listen to the radio more than read anything except magazines... TIME, US News and World Report,Business World... in spurts... AND week-end local paper. I love history...so I read novels that are non fiction My take on this Jason mess vis a vie my ears was that he made the statement and then tried to back OUT on it... It was like it came out and then he said he only meant it happened but it was collateral damage not malicious. By then the statement had been picked up and disseminated to bloggers who ran him through the mill.... There is no doubt he lied.. or exaggerated or whatever.. What I heard was that he had resigned from CNN immediately to prevent what has happened.. it being blown up and out of proportion to what he said or intended..But he was wrong. Granted that. Last night I watched WHERE DID AIDS COME FROM. A documentary... that ALLEGES that it came from the vaccine used to inoculate children against polio. There were several Doctors involved in making this vaccine once SALK discovered it. A Sabin and Polish Dr. whose name I will not be able remember now.. but the latter had a oral vaccine... and he built a lab in the Belgium Congo.. and started making his vaccine from Chimps.. The Sabin vaccine was made from other lesser monkeys. The Polish Dr,'s vaccine was orally administered to one million adults and children. When it was discovered that he had used Chimps ( thousands were killed and their kidneys and other internal organs were used ) that they carried a form of HIV only is was called HVS... he later retracted ( LIED ) to the entire world that he had ever used CHIMPS.. It was only when investigated by returning to the site.. locating natives who had worked there, taking testimonies from them, finding archived records that it was shown that he and all of his assistants LIED... to the World Health Organization. They lied on camera. All old men now as this happened in the fifties..... they categorically denied what they had done. AND the proof was evident. They had made a mistake and were not going to admit it as the hypothesis is that that HVS virus was contained in the Chimps blood and organs and it mutated into the HIV virus... Where is the truth. Way back in the fifties deceit was taking place and it has only gotten worse today. Did you ever say something you regretted. I am not defending this man. I could care less about him but I do have some empathy for when BLOGGERS get a hold of things today.. it's really persecution for whomever they go after. I still have a regret about what happened to Dan Rather. It was like all of his life's work went down the drain with that one mistake.
