Suma, do you really think that every lunatic rant deserves respectful treatment? For example, are those who so often equate Bush to Hitler really, in your mind, making a reasoned point rather than speaking from hatred?

What you don't seem to understand is that calling Bush-haters what they are and ridiculing their irrational rants is NOT the same thing as depriving them of their right to speak their minds. Their is nothing fascist about it.

In fact, I'd suggest that your insistence that they must be heard, no matter how virulent their rant, while any response that attacks the virulence of the rant or the underlying hatred driving it is unacceptable is a much more fascistic position to take.

Look at it this way, Suma - if some group of white supremacists is marching down the street in their robes and hoods, shouting racial slurs and threats, is one who yells "Racist bastards, get off our streets!!!" a "fascist" for doing so? By your argument, they must be.
