I had some XLF puts that didn't work out very well. I about broke even by selling some when they were up, but the rest expired worthless. I am even somewhat worried now about my QQQQ puts for January 2006 (an assortment of strikes). Am afraid this bull market may be like the Ottoman empire, which lasted into the 20th century. As a boy, I had some Ottoman Empire postage stamps.
