Don > a dozen PNAC members appointed to key positions, which gave them direct control of every aspect of 9/11?
Control, sure, but they were not the operatives. Operatives were at the airports, flight control centers, NORAD, those who placed the explosives for the demolition and then set them off. Then there's media control -- how the mainline media studiously avoided mentioning anything which might be embarrassing to the government. The obfuscation at the FBI. The 9-11 Commission. And so on.
> It's possible for 19 hopelessly incompetent Arabs to pull it off
You may well ask how most Americans believe that one? But they do -- and that's a fact.
> "It's not possible for "ordinary" people to know that, only to speculate about it." I think you have "ordinary" confused with "brain dead".
With all due respect, since you do not regard yourself as "brain dead", could you please tell me exactly who did 9-11? I know I'm sounding a bit like Mr e here, for which I apologize, but how can you KNOW a thing like that? You may BELIEVE you know, you may have a convincing theory about who did it, but you cannot KNOW -- unless, of course, you actually KNOW.
> anyone unable to connect the dots, and make their case, is far from ordinary
I accept "connecting dots" may be a function of intelligence but it is not evidence.
> They would have to be extraordinary, on the lowest end of the scale, to a degree that can only be considered truly remarkable.
