LinkShare and WebSideStory Announce Integration of SynergyAnalytics(TM) With HBX On-Demand Web Analytics Monday February 14, 8:00 am ET
NEW YORK, Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- LinkShare Corporation, a leader in performance-based marketing solutions, and WebSideStory (Nasdaq: WSSI - News), a leading provider of on-demand web analytics, today announced a partnership to integrate their analytics solutions. The partnership is among the first in the performance-based marketing industry to provide true integration via a direct link from WebSideStory's flagship service, HBX, into the LinkShare reporting environment, recognizing the advantages of a single, seamless interface over multiple interfaces. Through its STREAM API (application programming interfaces) program, WebSideStory will also provide in-depth, channel-specific data to LinkShare that will allow joint clients to get a much deeper view of their channels, including affiliate and search, directly through their LinkShare account interface. Overall, managers can view cross- channel information while channel managers will be able to go deeper into LinkShare channel analytics.

Customers use the service to optimize the performance of their online marketing and e-commerce initiatives and increase their return on investment.
"We partnered with WebSideStory because of the company's leadership in the web analytics industry. This partnership will not only provide a greater 'forest' view for LinkShare merchant clients to truly understand the driving force behind sales through the channel, but also enable them to share deeper level information with their affiliate partners," stated Stephen D. Messer, Chairman and CEO of LinkShare. "We believe that the insight that we will be able to offer both merchants and affiliates will allow them to innovate and develop unique ways to drive greater revenue."
This partnership creates a customer-centric, 'outside-in' approach that will enable marketers to analyze LinkShare channel data both before and after a customer clicks through to a website. Looking at what happens before a customer gets to a marketer's website is just as important, if not more important, than what happens while the customer is at the website, Messer said. Certain data may also be shared with LinkShare affiliates to improve their performance in the network.
"LinkShare is a leader and innovator in performance-based marketing," said Jeff Lunsford, CEO of WebSideStory. "This partnership brings two best-of-breed technologies together to deliver one of the most comprehensive analytics solutions in the industry."
