Your tolerance for ignaranti is a bit too much. :-) I just had a discussion with my boss who was mulling over dropping the word "progressive" from our brochures. His contention is that now that liberals are claiming to be "progressive" the use of that word in our brochures might have some political fallout. I told him that his is over-reacting. Also, I asked him to give me a "conservative" estimate of the impact of using a simple dictionary word.

He went on to imply that liberals are anti American (via anti-family and anti-traditional values). I said to him, "since there is not room for disagreement in this country any more, let us get rid of those 49% of Americans who voted for Kerry and are branded as liberals."

More interesting thing he said is that he is warming up to the idea of not separating church and the state. I told him to name one successful democracy that adopted a state-religion. Then he backedoff by saying, the religion should not be part of governance. He disagrees with my contention that Bush's faith-based programs are supporting Christian Madrassas. He sez no.

O well - I do not get to choose my bosses. Wait a minute, I did choose him! Sigh!
