Re: Vlaams Belang have Jews second on their list of non-white foreigners who need to be deported after their Semitic cousins; the Arabs.
Well, unfortunately --or fortunately, as far as European Jews are concerned-- Vlaams Belang and Europe's other far-rights are no longer the anti-Semitic outfits they used to be... Times have changed, Len --hence my relentless talking of JUDEOfascism. That pet coinage of mine is not a wild figment of my imagination! I mean it in earnest: Jews are no longer in the far-right's sights --as far as Europe is concerned. And I think it goes deeper than a merely transient, opportunistic, "bedfellowing".
Indeed, you must keep in mind that a key difference between the US and Europe is the race issue: for race-conscious Americans, everything boils down to race, that is, black vs white, Aryan vs the rest. Europeans, including far-rightist Europeans, tend to look at immigration, minorities, etc from the "cultural" angle... Of course, like the US, Europe still has a fringe of diehard racists who cling on Nazi lunacies about the Aryan race, whites vs Jews divide, etc. but they merely make up the far-right's far-right. The mainstream far-right bears no grudge against Jews, if only because European demographics has changed dramatically since the 1930s: if 1930s Germany, for instance, had harbored 2.5 million Turkish gastarbeiters, Hitler would likely have let the Jews alone and vented all his hatred against the former....
But even on the issue of culture, (Zionist) Jews and their rightist bedfellows converge: indeed, Jews used to be viewed as arch-liberals, cosmopolitan multiculturalists and the like. No longer: they are now the most rabid opponents of "wild immigration" from North Africa and Muslim countries, they now fervently support the cultural integrity of the West --their agenda is indeed similar to that of the far-right. So I ask you: why would the latter seek to harm such an ardent and powerful ally? Like it or not, from now on, most Jews belong to the big, growing, happy, far-right family....
