Semibull. I've lurked around and traded ATML since the mid-late 90's. Any thoughts on this? A hint as to mass vs. niche technology. From Briefing.com 7:24 AAPL Apple Computer: In the Cell processor race? New tgt $102 -- Merrill Lynch (84.63 )

Merrill Lynch out positive on Apple saying they found it intriguing that Sony President Kunitake Ando was on stage at MacWorld with Apple CEO Steve Jobs. Why did Steve Jobs say that Apple and Sony could possibly work together on computers and music? Firm thinks Apple could introduce products based on the IBM/Sony/Toshiba Cell processor. Apple/Sony partnership could take the following forms: 1) an iTunes-like iMovies Store online using the H.264 codec and streaming Sony and Pixar content, 2) a high-performance Apple workstation using Cell for video editing, and 3) a network-centric TV with computing for handling the next-generation of entertainment feeds. As the stock approaches firm's previous target of $85 per share, they are raising price objective to $102 per share based on a two-stage discounted earnings valuation. Reit Buy
