OT ... GVTucker, re "It's easy to get over the AC power failure issue, just get a backup power supply. " Not when all services on the cable system die. IOW, the most frequent outage is on the cable system ... while my residence still has AC power. Now I don't have VOIP over cable, so maybe that behaves better ... but I am skeptical. Ron
