Nobody is ramming this through quickly. We are discussing a solution that will add ten, fifteen, twenty or more years to the sustainability of an out of control train wreck of a federal program. Those who think the answer is to pay more out of the existing system had better hope that generation-X never gets control of government.

You can agree to disagree that there is an impending problem. Unfortunately, for your side Clinton destroyed your plausible deniability. Democrats signed on to his addressing the issue, but now that a Republican is trying to fix it Democrats are against any solution. Do you think anyone would be fooled when is suddenly became a priority in a Democrat administration. The American public is not as stupid as you all think they are.
