Apple seeks switcher stories
By Macworld staff

Apple is once again appealing for tales from PC users who have recently switched to Mac.

The company asks: "What made you get a Mac instead of a PC. Did you fall in love with your iPod and then buy a Mac? Were you looking for a computer that's more stable and secure than your old PC?"

Other questions include: "What’s it feel like to go from Windows to Mac OS X? What do you use your Mac for – managing your music, editing photos, creating movies, recording your own songs? What can you do on your Mac that you couldn’t do on a PC?"

Apple also wants to know the brand of the rejected PC, and what Mac was purchased.

A number of stories are available to read, with a section dedicated to the newest ones.

Recent stories include one about parents finally getting excited about technology: "My father-in-law gets so excited, sometimes teary-eyed, about his computer, he thanks me up and down every time I visit. He shows off his eMac to everyone who comes over. While he wouldn’t touch the old PC, today he is creating iPhoto slideshows with music, reacquainting with old friends in Europe and wants to get into digital photography."
