The article clearly states that Federal law enforcement resources are being used, not California's.

I stand corrected. I will modify my post to ask why limited federal law enforcement dollars are being spent this way. The issue is the same, and I notice that you failed to address it.


As far as what law was broken, if you check your little library, I'm sure you can find the federal statutes on pedophilia.


Actually, I'm not sure pedophilia in another country is a U.S. federal crime. Are you? And anyhow, they can't be prosecuted for that since they didn't perform that act (at least in this case). What apparently they're being charged with is soliciting pediphilia, which is a different thing.
