I think the projection you were thinking of was probably an amalgamation of ALL entitlement transfer payment programs (including Medicare/Medicaid, Veterins payments, etc.) Even so, one must be careful to accept mere extrapolations of current trends (straight line projecting along the trend curve) into some hypothetical future... since all such extrapolations assume ceuterus paribus (no external changes), and ignore the political and economic realities of counter-valing forces, the natural reactions bound to occur at some points.
