Pretty speeches are just that. They sound so good at conventions and in the state of the union. Obama voted for Rice, without ever grilling her for her lies. He even voted for Gonzales. It takes a lot more than that to take on the mantle. Just like Edwards was a mistake, so this guy would be. We don't need to get defined as a party to be on either side of the racist/affirmative issue or the gay marriage issue. With Obama, I often get the feeling he's dealing mainly with the black/white thing. I want a president focused on peace & prosperity, first & foremost.
