You equate Syria and Hizbollah in one breath and then defend Syria in another. Sometimes, you are beyond me tejek.

Where did I defend Syria? All I was trying to point out is that things are not always as they are seem in the ME. To me, its very obvious that Syria would get blamed for the assassination. So the question is did they want the guy dead so badly that they would be willing to take the fall....knowing full well there might be some a backlash? Frankly, I don't think the current leader of Syria, Bashar, is ballsy enough to do it........but maybe he didn't. Maybe someone else in the Syrian gov't gave the order.......to Hezbollah. My point that I am trying to make is that the obvious in the ME is not always the reality.

As for Hezbollah, they are both a political party in Lebanon and a terrorist group. Its commonly believe that they are funded by Syria and maybe Iran as well.

I think people in our government make the same connections you do, except their conclusions are that we shouldn't allow Syria to continue to play its game, whereas, your conclusions are invariably pacifist, as if the world's problems will miraculously solve themselves.

Do you mean an invasion of Syria? If being against such an invasion means one is pacifist, then I guess I am guilty as changed.
